I think as a good Christian we need to take care of all Americans. I wish we could be civil about the whole thing, but with the economy doin as bad as it is, I think thats why there’s so much anger.
My take on Obama’s healthcare proposal
Other than the huge deficits we will face to run this, and possibly bankrupting the nation
Other than treating more people with the same amount of doctors
Other than waiting months to be seen by a physician
Other than them rationing healthcare based on age……
The most important thing, we as Americans will lose, is our freedom. This is only the beginning of becoming totally public healthcare. That being said, the public (Washington) will have total control of all of our actions including, but not limited to, what we eat and how we raise our children.
I am saddened and fearful of the direction this President is taking our country. The America as I knew it, and the America I wanted for our children…. is slipping away.
And go ahead, send this to the White House, as they wanted all citizens to do when they received an email from anyone not for the program.
I DO CARE
Its a nice thought but there are so many things that could and will go wrong. I am one of many americans that don’t have heath care. I worry all the time about getting sick or hurt. I would love to know that I would be taken care of if something did happen to me but I just dont see how this health care plan can work. there are so many other things that need attention yet seem to slip through the cracks such as or wellfare system, ssi, unemployeement etc. how can we expect our government to handle a healthcare plan when they cant take care of these things.
A country without a good healthcare plan, that encompasses all residents, is a country destined to fail in the long run. What we, in this country, must realize that the cost of not having healthcare for all is an expense that will be unmanageable for us in the very near future. Some sort of public option is a must. Without it the insurance companies will be unleashed upon the people of this country to increase the cost of health insurance as they please. Insurance companies are concerned with only one thing, profit. A good public option would keep the insurance companies honest by creating the one thing they hate, competition.
All of our elected officials in Washington should remember that they, and their families, are protected by a Government Healthcare plan, with a good Public Option, which is paid for by us the American Taxpayors. We as taxpayors only ask for the same, and since we pay the taxes, why not?.
