As we reported earlier this week, Eva Longoria and Tony Parker are calling it quits and ending their marriage. According to multiple reports, Longoria found hundreds of text messages to husband Tony Parker from another woman. Longoria claims Parker cheated on her in the early days of their marriage and continued their relationship on Facebook, in addition to texting.
Reportedly the “other woman” is Erin Barry– the wife of one of his San Antonio Spurs teammates. (GASP!)
It goes further– Erin and Brent Barry’s divorce proceedings started last month. The breakup of these two couples is very, very fishy.
The Barrys were close friends with Parker and Longoria. Brent Barry and Tony Parker were teammates on the San Antonio Spurs from 2004 to 2008, and the Barrys were guests at the Parker’s wedding.
The two women were also very close. They bonded as “Spurs wives” and stayed after Brent left the team. A Parker insider dishes that he texted flirtatiously with Erin, but the relationship never became physical.
Ok… so why go get a divorce over texting? There has got to be something else here….. Very, very, fishy….
It appears that the texting increased in intensity around the time that the Barry marriage started to crumble. At the end of October, Brent Barry used his initials “B.R.B” to file for divorce citing “discord or conflict of personalities” in a Texas courthouse.
Less than a month later, Longoria made her way to a Los Angeles courthouse to file from divorce from Parker. A Longoria insider says, “I think this was out of the blue, but it was like this close to home.” Well, the ladies were friends! They probably traded Manolo Blahniks and Birkin bags!
Parker issued a public statement explaining, “Eva and I have been discussing our situation privately,” he says in a statement issued by his rep. “I was aware that she would be filing for divorce in Los Angeles.”
He continues, “I did not file for divorce in Texas and did not hire divorce attorneys in either Texas or California,. We plan to continue to keep our discussions of this matter private.”
Longoria tweeted the following message on Wednesday, “It is with great sadness that after 7 years together, Tony and I have decided to divorce. We love each other deeply and pray for each other’s happiness.”
