I don’t know if it’s because of the success of the hit movie The Hangover or what, but it seems like everyone wants to film in Las Vegas. As mentioned here earlier, Wheel of Fortune is shooting at the Venetian, and now casting is underway in Vegas for a new reality TV show all about very rich, very spoiled women. And no, it’s not another season of The Simple Life.

Casting agents for The Good Life are looking for the kind of women who “live like a princess, or maybe only act like one”. They want ladies who’s extravagant lifestyles includes “luxury cars, designer handbags, and expensive jewelry.” And, ideally, “a teacup Maltese as an accessory.” And they go on to ask questions of would-be applicants such as: “Do you live in an amazing home with maids, a chef, a personal assistant and a driver?” and “Is your job an intense social calendar and your hobby shopping at Gucci?”

It may just be me, but I think the only thing saving a show like that could be the fact they’re setting it in Las Vegas. One can hope that the show will feature weekly challenges like on Survivor. And if so, I have a few ideas for some worthy ones: swimming in the shark tank at Mandalay Bay, wrestling tigers at the MGM Grand and hiking back to town after being dumped at the bottom of the Grand Canyon.
