Right now Las Vegas is enjoying a perfect storm of tourist visits. It’s Spring Break season in the US and it’s also March Madness, when gamblers and hoops lovers descend on the city’s sports books. So depending on what type of person you are, that means you should either get on the first charter to Vegas to join in the fun, or you should go to bed thanking god you’re nowhere within a thousand miles of the place. I’m in the latter camp because I’m old and cranky and if I have to compete with drunk college kids for seats at the table games, I’d rather play online.
Of course, if all those kids knew about the KILLER BEE ATTACK in Las Vegas a couple days ago, they might be hesitant to venture out on the streets. True, the attack-ee was operating a backhoe and upset their hive, but still…killer bees! And it’s also true they didn’t kill the guy, but they did sting the hell out of him.
So that pretty much settles it. No way am I going anywhere near Las Vegas this weekend. Of course, by next weekend all the drunk kids will be back at school, and the streets and casinos will be free and clear of everything except killer bees. I’m going to book my ticket right now…
