When you’re choosing what type of casino games to play do you tend to go for games that are pure luck, or do you like ones that require a bit of skill? Personally, I’m a guy who likes learning stuff. I managed to finish high-school AND university (hold your applause). On top of that, I’m not all that lucky. So when I first sit down to play I usually go for games that require a bit of skill. That way I can overcome my lack of luck by using all the tricks I learned while I should’ve been studying in school, but was instead playing cards with my friends.

Slot machines are the obvious game for those who like to trust in the luck of the draw. With a huge variety of online slots it”s easy to find one you like. And when you do, the only skill required is knowing what the letters S-P-I-N and R-E-E-L-S mean. But there are also lots of table games where winning depends only on how often you can coax a smile out of Lady Luck. Roulette and Keno are good examples of games that a toddler could play as successfully as I can…well, if they allowed toddlers to gamble.

And then there are the games that take a bit of skill. Not that any casino game is exactly rocket surgery or brain science or whatever that phrase is. You can pretty much master any Video Poker game in just a few minutes. Same with games like Pai Gow or Let ‘Em Ride. Really the only game I ever play that took more than a few minutes to master its basic strategy is Blackjack.

We’ve got all the games mentioned here, so whether you’re skilled or lucky, check out our online casino right now.
