History of Princess Warrior

Princess Warrior depicts the cunning goddess of crafts and wisdom Athena, who was once the most adored and worshiped deity in ancient Greece. Athena was born when Zeus swallowed his pregnant wife. After Hephaestus cut him open with an axe, she emerged from his forehead head covered head-to-toe in armor, thus, becoming instantly recognized as the goddess of war.  

While she was well known for her fearless military skills, she also had a highly creative and domestic nature. She would often spend her time weaving and sewing tapestries from thread she forged from fleece wool, and she also designed the very first ships, chariots, and invented the trumpet. As the guardian of Athens, she became heavily associated with the city, to which she  was given her name, but she was also a protectoress of other Greek cities as well, such as Sparta.

Athena also assisted and guided many legendary heroes to victory, including the mortal son of Zeus Hercules, Odysseus, Jason, Perseus, Diomedes, and Cadmus. In 12^th century BC, she even helped the Achaeans construct the famous wooden horse that destroyed the walls Troy. The weapons she used in battle consisted of a special Aegis shield made from animal skin which featured the head of Medusa, along with a spear that she was gifted after training with the Daughters of Triton. It is said she defeated many monsters and foes with this spear, including giants, gorgons, and her best friend (turned arch enemy), Pallas.
